About Jaime Romero
Born in Guadalajara Jalisco, tired of the economic plateau in Mexico at the age of 7 Jaime's mother decided to take her skills and salon to Chicago IL. Working at his mother's salon at the age of 14 what started out as a chore soon became a passion.
Working with his father as a machinist to get himself though cosmetology school he noticed the correlation between a piece of metal being machined into a part for a machine and a haircut; they both need to be engineered to perfection and precision in order to leave a symmetrical piece of art
After opening his first barber shop VipCutz in 2006 with his two younger barber brothers they where soon sought out by WAHL clipper company to represent them and tour the country as platform artists. That is where he discovered his passion for educating and went back to cosmetology school obtain his Instructor's license.
Now commissioned by some of the most elite clientele in chicago as their personal stylist he still finds time to work in his barbershop in the weekends to provide high end precise hairstyles at an obtainable price. His latest project is getting more involved in other aspects of cosmetology and not just men's haircuts, it includes a 3,000sq Ft. Salon spa in the upcoming months
